Incognito's Ranks and Role Requirements

The list below has every rank within our guild and the duties expected from each role. Please see our Roster for information on our current officers, raiders and casual members.

Rank 1: The GM  Eliad (Kethain on Hordeside)
  Quick contact via PM.

Rank 2: GM's Alts
Kept at this rank so the GM has access to GM features when on alts.

Officer Ranks

Rank 3: Bladecaller
(Two specialty roles for this rank)

->
Raid Lead
  • Forms and leads raid teams and makes Rosters.
  • Sets up in-game calendar invites well in advance (5 days min).
  • Record or designate someone to record loot details.
  • Must be registered on the website, visit it/post at least weekly.
  • Inform members on strats and e with raid guides on the forums.
  • Moderates the raiding forum along with keeping it fresh.
  • Supports the Role Forums - adds input where necessary for other officers/ranks.
  • Updates front/news page with new boss kills/progression.
-> Raid Admin aka "Assistant GM"
  • Helps run high end guild functions (ie. Bank management).
  • Helps GM when he is absent (work, vacation, etc) to act as an assistant GM.
  • Assist Raid Lead on finding strats and tricks for progression content.
  • Must be registered on the website, visit it/post at least weekly.
  • Designate and manages the Guilds crafters.
  • Moderates Crafting forums along with keeping them fresh.
  • Supports the Role Forums - adds input where necessary for other officers/ranks.
Rank 4: Raiding Coach (The four main roles listed below)

- Acts as leads for set Raid Roles. Needs a good understanding of that area and how it interacts with the other raid roles. Raid Roles are as follows:
  • Tanks
  • Healers
  • Physical DPS
  • Caster DPS
- Moderates their respective role forums along with keeping them fresh.
- Can have sub-leads (ie, a hunter lead since they have different mechanics than melee).
- Must be registered on the website, visit it/post at least weekly.

Rank 5: Accomplice (Three sub-categories: Training, Morale, Alts)

-> Officers in Training
  • These are members who are prospective officers.  They are given this role as a test to see how they will perform in the official officer ranks.  Members in this rank are closely monitored and guided by other officers, usually by one from the rank they will be working towards.
  • Has many of the same requirements as their seniors of the rank they are training for.  This includes but is not limited to registering on the forums, starting and maintaining threads. Some access to special role areas not granted until training is complete.
-> Morale Officer (Public Relations)
  • Tasked with keeping the guild spirit up.  Looks for any trouble areas within the guild and (with the help of the GM and/or other officers) works towards fixing/preventing issues.
  • Organizes fun events, keeps chat positive and acts as a liaison between guild population and the senior officers.
  • Must be registered on the website, visit it/post at least bi-weekly.
  • Moderates the General, Off-topic, Roleplay and Creative forums along with keeping them fresh.
  • Update front/news page for large scale RP or other events in line with the Morale Officer's area.
  • Helps members to work their way through the website; verifying characters, encouraging members to build/maintain their galleries, make forum posts, etc.
-> Senior Officers' Active Alts
  • Senior officers are allowed to have their active alts at this rank so they can use officer chat.

Non-Officer Ranks

Rank 6: Bounty Hunter (This is our raiding rank)

- Attends guild raids with a designated team (either red or green), must have a 75% attendance on his or her team.
- Is required to have competent theory-crafting ability for his or her class and spec. Laziness will not be tolerated.
- Performance will be judged and reviewed by ra
id officers frequently, underachievers will be demoted.
- Is required to read up strategies and mechanics of encounters before they are attempted.
- Must be registered on the website. Encouraged to ask questions and help others on the forums if possible.

Rank 7: Scout  (This is our casual rank)

- Casual player in the guild, does not form part of any raid team, but may sometimes be called for if available.
- While in such a raid they are expected to behave and perform as a bounty hunter would.
- Forum registration not required but is strongly encouraged for members to keep up to date on any guild changes.

Rank 8: "Time Out" = Disciplinary Rank

One does not want to aim towards achieving this rank. No guild privileges are given. Probably the last chance move before a guild kick and possible ticket = [?] submitted if the player has violated WoW's TOS. To find out how to NOT get into this rank please review our Code of Conduct.

Please note: Our discipline rank is second from the bottom because of the way Blizzard has improperly set up guild invites; adding this rank at the bottom would mean every new member would start at this rank and would be unable to speak until an officer online could promote them.

Rank 9: Informant
(The new guys and gals + alts)

- New recruits to the guild or an alt of a member. New recruits have a 1 week trial period and like all established members, are expected to follow the guild's Code of Conduct (CoC).
- Informants do not have the priviledge of three "strikes"; any CoC infringement may and usually will result in an immediate /gkick. Ignorance of the guild's Code of Conduct does not make one immune to punishment.
- Website registration is strongly encouraged, especially if one hopes to raid with us. Being registered with our website means one is usually up to date on the latest guild announcements and it helps new members to get to know others who may not play at the same times/days as them.
