Incognito Guild History Some years after the first Orcen invasion upon Azeroth, a lone Kaldorei assassin decided to take advantage of the chaos in the growing wars. He gathered together a small group of assassins and began expanding upon his contact list to include non-Kaldorei, all the while gaining and trading secrets with the enemy factions. So was born the small organization called Incognito. The guild was created with the intention to reap profits from the war while publically posing as a simple and discreet messenger guild for many intelligent races of Azeroth. The reason behind the name “Incognito” was expressed that anyone could send a disguised/encrypted message of any type to the other factions anonymously for a simple price. No questions asked. The guild spread across Azeroth mostly by word of mouth and some of the more dedicated members came to see its darker side; an assassin’s organization. Simple cut-throats were soon trained in the art of advanced thievery, Scouts were taught how to gather detailed battlefield information, and Bards were instructed on the darker levels of diplomacy and interrogation. The Horde-side leader of the organization, a skilled Trolled Huntress, spent much of her time in Orgrimmar gathering and sending up-to-date information to be sent to the contacts in the Human lands. With Incognito’s assistance, the war would not be won by either side but neither would the Scourge gain an advantage; as such reports of them would simply be spread to the other faction. As the years passed, the original Kaldorei soon saw it fit to delve back into the shadows and retire from public view; returning to the Elven homelands. He entrusted his list of contacts, and the The Troll Huntress eventually stepped down from her position and went back to the task of scouting enemy territories. In her place a Sin’dorei noble now stood; Kethain Icewarden. This Blood Elf had been allies with the lone Kaldorei assassin for many centuries and would not only have a very wide list of powerful contacts, but would be an equal with the Gnome in mind and physical skill. When the Dark Portal was once again opened, the organization saw the advantage of within the greater war and soon spread like an invisible plague through the Outland. New allies were made while dark contracts were created and missions completed. Word of the Scourge’s growth back on Azeroth began to spread back to the head leaders of the organization. The word began to spread from mouth-to-mouth “Prepare yourselves for Northrend!” The organization gathered their forces and made footing upon the icy continent. Scouts were valued for their keen eyes, messengers kept contacts informed across the frozen lands, and assassins set their blades out to the highest bidders. Incognito's deep pockets had swelled with valuable treasures and their list of deadly allies had grown immensely.
Yet the battles are not yet over; the war not truly won. There is much more wealth to be had for Incognito while all eyes are set towards Icecrown...
